The Hyperion 3 is the lightweight trainer in the Brooks line. Nitrogen-infused DNA FLASH v2 keeps it springy and responsive at just over 7 ounces. Brooks added about 2 mm more foam than the Hyperion 2, so it now handles daily miles better while still feeling quick for tempo runs and strides. The double jacquard mesh upper is thin and breathable, and RoadTack rubber holds up well over time. The fit is snug with a narrow toe box. It’s a running shoe, not a walking or standing shoe. Pair it with a Ghost or Glycerin for easy days.
