Description
The Cascadia 20 is the biggest update to the line in years. Brooks switched to one layer of DNA Flash v2 foam, so it feels softer and livelier than the old two-layer midsole and drops the rock plate. Itβs also the first Cascadia with a Vibram Megagrip outsole. The 4 mm lugs hold on wet rock, slick clay, and loose gravel where older versions slipped. The mesh upper has abrasion-resistant overlays for brush and rocks, and the fit is secure and a touch narrow. If you run Mohican, Hocking Hills, or the Cuyahoga Valley trails, this is the Brooks trail shoe to try first. Specs Support type: Neutral trail Midsole: DNA Flash v2, nitrogen-infused, single density Heel-to-toe drop: 6 mm Stack height: 38 mm heel / 32 mm forefoot Weight: 10.8 oz Upper: Engineered mesh with abrasion-resistant overlays Outsole: Vibram Megagrip, 4 mm lugs Best for: Technical and muddy trails, wet conditions, long trail runs, hiking
